Custom Marmon Flanges

Manufactured in-house using a rotary end former, our custom marmon flanges are available in 2”, 2-1/2”, and 3” sizes, crafted from aluminized steel, 409SS, 304SS, and mild steel. Unlike similar Marmons, our design incorporates a heavy-duty gasket and a secure, nearly ‘locking’ connection, (clamp included in kit) ensuring enhanced durability and leak resistance.

*What is a Rotary End Former?

A rotary end former is a specialized machine designed to shape the ends of tubes or pipes by rotating a tool around their circumference. This precision process is widely used in industries requiring custom tube end profiles.

How Does a Rotary End Former Work?

  1. Clamping: Jaws secure the tube in place to ensure stability during the process.
  2. Positioning: The tube is slid over the forming tool.
  3. Tool Activation: A drawbar extends the tool rollers outward as the end-forming cycle begins.
  4. Shaping: The tool spins inside the tube, pushing the rollers outward to shape the material into the desired profile.

Applications and Capabilities
Rotary end formers can create various end shapes, including:

  • Grooves
  • Inverted beads
  • Reductions
  • Expansions
  • *Marmons

ours is versatile enough to handle tube and pipe diameters ranging from 2 inches to 3 inches and is powered by hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.

Why choose a Marmon rather than a V-band?

It’s easy to recommend our custom marmon flanges because we manufacture them ourselves. Vbands are well-known in the industry widespread popularity due to ease of manufacturing or often driven by preference or hearsay about Marmons leaking. We addressed this concern by redesigning the Marmon to eliminate leaks. Unlike Vbands, which can be difficult to correctly align, especially with tubing on each end, Marmons feature a slip-over fit that secures properly, eliminating the risk of leaks and ensuring a reliable connection.

Using Custom Marmon Flanges correctly.

When installing the Marmons its important to note that the Male end is connected the Upstream part of the exhaust, and the Female end is on the downstream end of the exhaust.  (Upstream is the part closest to the engine, and the downstream is closer to the muffler or exhaust exit.) this ensures that the exhaust gases will follow the path of least resistance and ensures performance. Please take note if you receive a marmon from us and the fitting out of the package is “loose” or ” sloppy” please contact us immediately for an exchange. Marmons should fit snug and have little to no movement with mated together. please inquire if you need further information.
